What is a Quaddie?
The Quadrella, or Quaddie for short, is an exotics bet type where four winners are needed from four consecutive races. Unlike a multi bet where punters have the option of selecting their own races to choose from, the four Quaddie legs are predetermined for each racecourse daily. For example, on a nine-race card at Flemington on Saturday, the Quaddie legs would be races 6, 7, 8 & 9.
How Do I Place a Quaddie on Dabble?
As each online bookmaker has their own way of navigating to the Quaddie, and then adding your selections and stake, we’ve put together this step-by-step guide on how to find the Dabble Quaddie, and how to place your Quaddie bet.
- Open or download the Dabble app
- Select the ‘Betting’ Icon at the bottom of the app
- Select the race meeting you are interested in.
- Click on any race and there will be an option to toggle between bet types: Win/Place, Trifecta, Quaddie etc
- Select the ‘Quaddie’ button and the first leg of the Quaddie will appear
- Select your runner/s for that leg, and then tap the next race from the menu at the top of the screen
- Do this for each of the four races, and then hit the ‘Add to Betslip’ button at the bottom of the app
- You can then review your Quaddie and enter your stake - make sure you have the right selection in there as you won’t be able to change this once submitted
- Hit ‘Place Bet’ and then ‘Confirm Bet’ and your Quaddie is on
Dabble Quaddies - How to Place Your Bet On Mobile
To place a Dabble Quaddies bet on mobile:
- Access the Platform
Download the Dabble app (available on iOS/Android). Navigate to the betting section via the app’s menu. - Select the Quaddie Market
Choose a race meeting (e.g., Australian or Hong Kong Thoroughbred/Greyhound races). Tap the Quaddie option under "Exotic bet types" on the racecard. - Choose Selections
Select at least one runner in each of the four consecutive races (legs 1-4). Use the top menu to switch between legs. Multiple selections per leg increase potential winning combinations. - Set Stake and Review
Enter your stake amount. Dabble offers two stake options: - Total Stake: Evenly distributes the amount across all combinations.
- Percentage per Combination: Allocates a percentage (e.g., 1% = $0.01 per combo).
- Confirm the Bet
Tap Place Bet and Confirm Bet to finalise. Changes cannot be made after confirmation.

- Dead Heats: Dividends split between winning combinations.
- Abandoned Races: Bets remain valid with fewer legs.
How is the Dabble Quaddie Calculated?
The team at Dabble didn’t want to rush into this by offering the standard Tote payout for Quaddies, and instead, they have developed a unique product that is designed to pay out more on average for the punter.
Dabble Div Quaddies are calculated by the probability of the winning combination occuring. Meaning, the formula uses the Starting Price (SP) of each winner, the prices of other runners in the field, and the type of race.
While some Quaddies on Dabble may pay more than the Tote Quaddie Payout, and some may pay less, on average, the Dabble Div Quaddie Payout paid more during testing.

In racing terms, Quaddie payouts are as big as they come. Not every Quaddie will be life changing, but they have been known to pay in excess of $1 million. The bigger the price of each individual winner, the bigger the Quaddie will pay.
